Smart Seismic Solutions (S3) has acquired a 20,000-node seismic acquisition system from STRYDE to enhance its onshore survey capabilities. This technology is primarily used for high-definition subsurface imaging, which is critical for identifying viable carbon capture and storage (CCS) sites and geothermal resources. S3 has already utilized this nodal technology for large-scale projects in Denmark and France. The move to own the equipment rather than lease it suggests an increase in demand for precise geological data to support Europe's decarbonization and new energy infrastructure.
