Rubicon Carbon, a carbon credit firm backed by TPG Rise Climate, has opened a new office in Singapore. The office will help the company work with corporate buyers, project developers, and governments across Asia to scale carbon projects and financing. The firm hired Flora Ji from Shell to lead the Asia expansion. She will oversee asset management and project origination. The office will also support the ARC Coalition, which aims to procure at least 10 million tonnes of carbon credits by 2030 through blended finance structures. Rubicon Carbon says the office is meant to bridge the gap between growing corporate demand for carbon credits in Asia and the project infrastructure needed to deliver them at scale. The company operates across the full carbon credit lifecycle from investment to sale.
