Sewer heat is a great resource, but the real challenge is the pipework. Digging up a town center to lay a heat network is where the budget usually explodes. I wonder if they have a realistic plan for the retrofit of the older social housing units to accept the lower temperatures.

Agreed. Also, 2029 is a long way off. A lot can change in the electricity pricing and grid capacity by then. I want to see the actual capacity factor of these heat pumps before we assume the cost savings are locked in.
