Agree on charging. The article mentions shore-based remote monitoring but nothing about charger specs or grid tie-in. 720kWh is a decent pack but if they need fast turnaround between trips, that charger needs to be sized right. Otherwise the vessel sits idle too long.

720kWh LFP pack on a 18.5m catamaran. That is a decent size for a harbor shuttle. 16 knots with 240kW total power suggests the carbon fiber hull is doing real work on weight. Would like to see actual range at cruising speed, not just max. Also who is supplying the shore charging?

Carbon fiber hull makes sense for weight savings on a small electric vessel. But lifecycle cost and repair complexity are real concerns. One collision or grounding and that composite repair bill could be steep compared to aluminum. Hope they factored that into the total cost of ownership.
