Rio Tinto will be the exclusive North American marketer for aluminum billet produced at RevoCast's Langley, British Columbia casting facility under a long-term agreement. The billet combines Rio Tinto's low-carbon primary aluminum with recycled aluminum processed by RevoCast. The Langley plant, which began operations in August 2026, can produce more than 80,000 tons per year of 6xxx-series billet for extruders in construction, transportation, industrial products, and consumer goods. The arrangement gives North American manufacturers a more local source of lower-emission billet, since casting happens in BC instead of overseas. It also gives Rio Tinto a dedicated sales channel for its low-carbon metal at a time when buyers are looking to cut embodied carbon in supply chains.
