Reverion, a German startup making container-based solid oxide fuel cell power plants, has closed a €150 million Series B led by Kembara. The company will use the funds to build a megafactory in Germany, boosting annual manufacturing capacity to 250 megawatts, roughly ten times current levels. Reverion claims its systems hit 74.2% electrical efficiency in live customer operation and can run on biogas for net-negative carbon output, or reverse into electrolysis mode to store surplus renewables as gas. The round includes new investors Allianz, KfW Capital, Aurum Impact, and Carbon Equity, plus returning backers like Energy Impact Partners and UVC Partners. Reverion is targeting AI data centers facing multi-year grid connection delays, offering on-site power generation that uses existing gas infrastructure. The company says its project pipeline exceeds $2 billion in revenue potential, with first international deliveries expected later this year.
