Revcoo to capture up to 8,000 tonnes of CO2 at Belgian zinc plant with cryogenic CarbonCloud tech
gasworld.comFrench carbon capture firm Revcoo is partnering with recycled zinc producer Reazn to install its CarbonCloud system at a plant in Kruisem, Belgium. The project aims to capture 5,000 to 8,000 tonnes of CO2 per year using a fully electric, cryogenic process that separates CO2 from flue gas without solvents or water. The captured gas can be liquefied or containerised for transport, reducing reliance on dedicated CO2 pipelines. The companies will first run a technical and economic feasibility study, with deployment targeted for end of 2028. Revcoo claims the system can produce 99.99% pure CO2 from real industrial flue gas, which could simplify downstream utilisation or storage. The partnership marks Revcoo's entry into the metals sector, following prior work in lime and cement, and highlights the potential for modular capture at dispersed industrial sites.
