REURASIA brings ADERCO fuel-saving tech to Philippine shipping after MARINA PhilMarine forum
dugout.phREURASIA Management Corporation is introducing ADERCO fuel preservation technology to the Philippine shipping market. The solution aims to help shipowners cut fuel consumption and CO2 emissions without changing fuel suppliers or making heavy capital investments. The technology was presented at the MARINA PhilMarine forum in Manila. ADERCO's vegetal organic fuel treatment is applied at a ratio of one liter per 55 metric tons of fuel. Verified results from vessel projects show fuel savings of 3 to 5 percent. One refrigerated vessel saved 335 metric tons of fuel over 207 days, avoiding about 1,044 metric tons of CO2. The technology is also relevant for improving Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) performance under IMO rules. REURASIA is positioning this as a near-term option for Philippine shipowners who need to cut emissions and fuel costs without switching fuels or investing in new vessels. Adoption will depend on vessel-specific trials and documented savings, but the technology offers a low-disruption starting point for operators under compliance pressure.
