Scientists at the Institute of Science Tokyo have created a new method to build carbon-based molecular cages with high precision. By using a temporary linking strategy, they increased the success rate of assembling these nanoscale structures from 10% to 68%. These durable carbon frameworks can be tailored to trap specific molecules, offering potential breakthroughs in creating highly selective filters for harmful substances and advanced drug delivery systems.
