ReFuels is expanding the UK's low-carbon freight infrastructure with a new biomethane refuelling station in Swindon. The facility, operated by CNG Fuels, will support HGVs traveling the M4 corridor between London, Wales, and the Midlands. It is designed to serve over 800 trucks per day with a capacity of 30 million kilograms of Bio-CNG annually. This project is part of a broader strategy to double the dispensing capacity of the UK biomethane network by 2028. By utilizing fuel derived from food waste and manure, the network aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90 percent compared to diesel while lowering fuel costs for fleet operators.
