Red Sea Global Achieves 118k Tonne Carbon Reduction via Solar and Storage
travelandtourworld.comRed Sea Global has verified a reduction of 117,879 tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions for 2024. This was achieved by powering its tourism hubs with a massive solar photovoltaic array and a utility-scale battery energy storage system, removing the need for conventional fossil fuel grids. The project also integrates a zero-emission transport network with over 150 EV charging stations and the use of sustainable aviation fuels for regional flights. These efforts support the developer's goal of reaching net-zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030.
