The recycled carbon fiber market is projected to grow from US$204.85 million in 2025 to US$716.34 million by 2035, a 13.1% CAGR, according to DataM Intelligence. Recent partnerships, including Barnet and Carbon Fiber Conversions, plus Hexcel with James Cropper, are pushing recovered fiber into thermoplastics, prepregs, and aligned nonwovens for automotive, aerospace, and industrial use. The main draw is avoiding virgin fiber production while keeping composite waste out of landfill. Asia-Pacific leads demand, with Europe and North America also holding large shares. Automotive, wind energy, and industrial manufacturing are the biggest pull. The report notes recycled fiber still has to prove it can match virgin material in processing and performance, especially for structural parts. Chopped and milled fiber remain the main product forms, while applications like nonwoven mats and thermoplastic compounds are growing.
