Radisson Blu Hotel Sheffield becomes Radisson Hotel Group's second Verified Net Zero property in the UK

Radisson Blu Hotel Sheffield has been certified as Verified Net Zero, making it the second such property in the UK for Radisson Hotel Group. The certification covers Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, with the hotel using 100% renewable energy, electrification, waste reduction, and lower-carbon menus. Remaining emissions are offset through nature-based carbon credits in partnership with Agreena. The hotel also works with Klimato to assess and reduce the carbon footprint of its food offerings, with recipes designed to cut emissions by up to 40%. Independent verification is provided by TÜV Rheinland. The group aims to have 100 Verified Net Zero hotels by 2030, and this Sheffield property combines a restored Victorian building with modern sustainability practices.
