Qingdao forum highlights blue carbon as a climate solution with focus on ocean governance and blue finance

Shandong aims to integrate blue and green finance to turn marine assets into economic drivers for carbon neutrality goals. Key speakers included Justin Ahanhanzo from IOC-UNESCO, who praised university-driven cooperation, and Yang Haiyong from the Shandong Provincial Financial Committee, who emphasized blue carbon's role in achieving carbon neutrality.
