Puro.earth is expanding its registry to include a new program aligned with the European Union's Carbon Removals and Carbon Farming (CRCF) Regulation. This move allows engineered carbon dioxide removal suppliers to issue certified credits and buyers to procure them using existing infrastructure. The new program focuses on three approved methodologies: biochar carbon removal, direct air capture with carbon storage (DACCS), and biogenic emissions capture with carbon storage (bioCCS). By operating multiple standards in parallel, Puro.earth aims to give EU-based developers and international companies more flexibility in how they manage carbon credits.
