The authority has started accepting applications from companies that can supply 12-meter electric buses, spare parts, and charging stations. Companies will also handle driver training and maintenance. The pre-qualification process begins July 16. Only firms with experience in electric bus supply and maintenance are eligible. This move is part of a broader push by the Punjab government to build a carbon-free transport system. If executed, it could significantly lower emissions from one of Pakistan's most populated provinces.
