PSE becomes first stock exchange to join CDP as capital markets signatory for climate disclosure
tribune.net.phThe Philippine Stock Exchange has become the first stock exchange globally to join CDP as a capital markets signatory. CDP runs the world's independent environmental disclosure system, used by over 540 financial institutions representing more than $110 trillion in assets. PSE's move signals that environmental transparency is now part of long-term value creation for listed companies in the Philippines. By joining CDP, PSE encourages its listed companies to disclose environmental impacts through a platform that integrates IFRS S2 climate standards. In 2025, 22,100 companies representing two-thirds of global market capitalization already reported through CDP. This step aligns Philippine capital markets with global best practices in carbon and sustainability reporting.
