Prometheus Hyperscale is planning a massive digital infrastructure campus near Casper, Wyoming, with an initial investment of 500 million dollars. The project aims to deploy 1.5 gigawatts of capacity by 2028, utilizing on-site natural gas reciprocating engines to bypass initial grid constraints from Rocky Mountain Power. To address environmental concerns, the developers are implementing proprietary closed-loop liquid cooling to eliminate ongoing water consumption. The project also involves strategic partnerships with carbon capture firms Spiritus and Casper Carbon Capture to integrate the data center with direct air capture technology.
