Prologis UK has reached a certification milestone at its DRIFT logistics hub, with the building earning Planet Mark certification. The standard assesses whole-life carbon across raw materials, construction, operation, maintenance, and end of life. This is the 100th Prologis project to reach certification. The company says 25 million square feet of its UK portfolio now holds BREEAM Excellent or Outstanding ratings. Prologis also points to its Cool Earth partnership, which has helped protect over 20,000 acres of rainforest and supported Indigenous communities. Tenants at certified sites include Sainsbury's, Tesco, M&S, and Royal Mail. For buyers and occupiers, the milestone matters because logistics space is often a hidden source of emissions. Whole-life certification is a step beyond operational energy ratings, but the real test is whether the buildings perform as designed once tenants move in.
