Event sounds decent, but 'carbon offsetting' is vague. Are they buying offsets or actually cutting emissions on site? Also, the 2032 goals, what's the baseline? Would like to see actual numbers.

The council's 2032 sustainability goals need more detail. Is there a published plan? Offsetting is fine but only as a last resort. Prefer seeing reduction targets first.

Good they're using compostable materials and reusable crockery, but check if the compostables actually go to industrial composting. Many 'compostable' items end up in landfill if there's no collection. Also, the workshops should cover practical home retrofits.

Nice to see a local council doing this. The event looks family friendly, but I'd want to know which carbon offset provider they use and if it's verified. Also, will they publish the event's own footprint afterwards?
