400k tons is a tiny start compared to the 8 million target. I want to see the actual CAPEX for the ship and the injection infrastructure. Does the 2026 timeline account for the regulatory hurdles of offshore permitting in the EU?

The real question is the incentive structure. If this is relying on EU ETS prices to be viable, the economics change quickly. It is good to see the physical infrastructure moving, but the cross border CO2 transport rules need to be airtight.

Shipping liquefied CO2 is expensive. I wonder if the cost per ton makes this viable for mid sized industrial plants or if it only works for the massive emitters who can afford the capture tech and the freight.
