Climate-tech startup Prithu has secured Rs 10 crore in seed funding led by Transition VC. The company focuses on creating high-integrity carbon credits through regenerative agriculture, agroforestry, and biochar projects across India. Prithu aims to sequester 20 million tonnes of CO2e by 2030 by helping small landholder farmers reduce agri-waste burning and restore soil organic carbon. The new capital will be used to expand farmer networks and improve blockchain-based monitoring, reporting, and verification systems.
