UK pension protection fund PPF now covers 82% of its assets with carbon footprint metrics, up from roughly 30% in 2020/21. The fund also extended its transition and sustainable assets framework to about £6.8bn across private markets, after first introducing it for infrastructure in 2023. Financed scope 1 and 2 emissions across listed equity, credit, and UK credit portfolios fell 62% between December 2020 and December 2025. PPF's climate watchlist covers 99 companies responsible for at least 70% of its material financed emissions. Of those, 87% met the fund's carbon disclosure expectations and 79% maintained or improved their Transition Pathway Initiative management quality score. A separate MSCI analysis found that companies representing 31% of the fund's public equity portfolio could face at least one potentially severe physical climate risk.
