Powerhouse Energy Group has received the Energy From Waste Innovation Achievement of the Year award for its DMG system. The technology uses a rotating kiln to convert non-recyclable plastics and hard-to-abate waste into clean syngas or high-purity hydrogen. The company claims the system operates without public subsidies and captures carbon as a solid residue. With a pilot plant in South Wales and larger projects in Northern Ireland and Western Australia, the modular system targets distributed energy production from various waste feedstocks.
