POSCO Future M has become the first South Korean battery materials company to enter the Dow Jones Best-in-Class World Index. The company was recognized for its progress in reducing carbon emissions, managing supply chain ethics, and implementing workplace safety systems. To reach its 2050 carbon neutrality goal, the company is increasing its use of renewable energy and transitioning to lower carbon fuels. These efforts include installing solar power facilities at its cathode materials plant in Gwangyang to lower the operational footprint of battery production.
