A 500 ton annual capacity is tiny for steel. It is a lab experiment on a larger scale. The jump from a pilot like this to a commercial plant that actually moves the needle on emissions is where most of these projects fail due to capital costs.

The real test here is the economic feasibility. Without a high carbon price or significant green steel premiums, these electrochemical plants struggle to compete with coal. I want to see if this is driven by actual market demand or just a play for future subsidies.
