Porsche has established a new lap record for electric executive cars at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife using the Taycan Turbo GT equipped with the Manthey Kit. The vehicle completed the 20.832 kilometer circuit in 6 minutes and 55.533 seconds, significantly beating previous records in its class. The performance gains come from a specialized retrofit package that triples downforce and increases system output to 600 kW. Technical upgrades include a revised high voltage battery and pulse inverters that allow for a higher maximum discharge current, alongside track focused aerodynamics and lightweight forged wheels.
