Chinese EV maker XPeng expects to bring in more than $149 million from carbon credit deals with Porsche and other international automakers. The revenue comes from XPeng's growing overseas EV sales, which generate compliance credits under emissions rules in Europe, the U.K., and Australia. An XPeng vice president confirmed the figure after Chinese outlet Yicai reported the agreements. EU rules set a fleet average target of 93.6 grams of CO2 per kilometer for passenger cars through 2029, and automakers can pool vehicles to meet it. The U.K. ZEV mandate and Australia's New Vehicle Efficiency Standard also allow trading of compliance units. XPeng has not disclosed individual deal terms or named all buyers, and the $149 million is estimated transaction revenue rather than cash received.
