PLASA has launched a new carbon literacy training course tailored to professionals in the entertainment technology industry. The course aims to help participants understand climate change, the carbon impacts of their everyday decisions, and practical steps to reduce emissions in their roles, organizations, and wider lives. It combines a 30-minute self-study module with two interactive two-hour sessions led by an experienced trainer, followed by an individual assessment. Certification is independently awarded by the Carbon Literacy Project. The course is designed to address the growing demand for sustainable practices across productions, events, venues, and supply chains. Monthly cohorts from July to October 2026 are limited to 12 participants each to encourage shared learning. PLASA members pay 89 pounds plus VAT, non-members 119 pounds plus VAT. Registration is available at plasa.org/carbon-literacy-training.
