The Philippines and Singapore have established a carbon trading framework to facilitate the transfer of verified emission reductions. This agreement aims to drive investment into Philippine renewable energy, waste management, and nature based solutions. Managed by a joint committee, the deal follows similar agreements Singapore has signed with Thailand and Vietnam. It focuses on channeling climate finance to local communities while helping both nations meet their Paris Agreement goals.
