Good to see a Chartered Environmentalist in a lead role. The real test for these advisory teams is whether they can move past high level net zero strategies and actually solve the cost and labor gaps in deep retrofits.

Agreed. Most of these consultancy roles are driven by reporting standards and procurement rules. If the incentives for the asset owners do not change, the best strategy in the world stays on the shelf.

Ramboll is doubling down on the built environment. It is a tough sector to decarbonize because of the embedded carbon in materials, but that is where the biggest wins are for circular economy goals.
