The Union Budget 2026-27 proposes INR 20,000 crore over five years for CCUS promotion, currently under Cabinet approval. Stakeholders called for a National CCUS Mission, viability gap funding, tax incentives, and integration with India's carbon market framework. Key sectors identified for demonstration projects include cement, steel, power, fertilizers, refineries, and chemicals. PHDCCI will compile recommendations for submission to relevant ministries.
