PepsiCo is expanding its sustainability efforts by purchasing low-carbon fertilizer from TalusAg. The company plans to deploy this fertilizer through pilot programs across Europe, Asia Pacific, and Sub-Saharan Africa to reduce the carbon footprint of its agricultural supply chain. This move follows previous agreements to integrate low-carbon urea ammonium nitrate (UAN) into its potato supply chain. By testing these alternatives globally, PepsiCo is exploring how to scale decarbonization in industrial farming and fertilizer use.
