PepsiCo and Talusag have entered into an attribute agreement to support the production of low-carbon ammonia. This partnership aims to reduce the carbon footprint of fertilizers used in agricultural supply chains, addressing one of the hardest-to-abate sectors of industrial emissions. By utilizing attribute certificates, the companies can decouple the physical ammonia from its low-carbon credentials. This mechanism encourages investment in green ammonia production and helps accelerate the transition to sustainable farming inputs without requiring immediate, massive infrastructure overhauls.
