Peartree Cleaning Services has won an International Green Apple Environment Award for its 'Growing Greener' initiative. The company reduced total carbon emissions by 6.3% during the 2024/25 financial year while increasing revenue by 7.9%. That translated to a 13.2% drop in emissions per £1 million of turnover and a 9.9% reduction per full-time employee. Scope 3 emissions, which make up over 97% of the company's footprint, fell by 6.7%. Peartree credits the progress to closer supplier engagement, site-level monitoring, and practical waste and plastic reduction measures. The award, selected from more than 700 entries, will be presented at the House of Lords in November 2026. The company's ESG manager says the work is ongoing, with a focus on continuing to reduce impact as the business grows.
