Peartree Cleaning Wins Green Apple Award After Cutting Carbon 6.3% While Revenue Grew 7.9%
cleaningmag.comPeartree Cleaning Services has won an International Green Apple Environment Award for decoupling business growth from carbon emissions. In the 2024/25 financial year, the company cut total emissions by 6.3% while revenue rose 7.9%. Emissions per million pounds of turnover fell 13.2%, and emissions per full-time employee dropped 9.9%. Scope 3 emissions, which account for more than 97% of the company's footprint, also fell 6.7%. Peartree says the reductions came from closer supplier engagement, site-level environmental monitoring, and practical measures on waste, plastics, and emissions across operations and the supply chain. The company kept its EcoVadis Gold rating, and its emissions reduction targets are approved by the Science Based Targets initiative as aligned with limiting warming to 1.5C. The award will be presented at the House of Lords in November 2026.
