Peartree Cleaning Services Wins Green Apple Award for Cutting Carbon 6.3% While Revenue Grows 7.9%

Peartree Cleaning Services has won an International Green Apple Environment Award for its 'Growing Greener' initiative, which shows that business growth and carbon cuts can go together. In the 2024/25 financial year, the company reduced total carbon emissions by 6.3% while revenue increased by 7.9%. Emissions per £1 million of turnover dropped 13.2%, and per-employee emissions fell 9.9%. The company's Scope 3 emissions, which make up over 97% of its carbon footprint, were down 6.7% thanks to closer supplier engagement, site-level monitoring, and waste reduction efforts. Peartree also kept its EcoVadis Gold rating and secured Neutral Carbon Zone Gold Certification. Its emissions targets are approved by the Science Based Targets initiative and align with the 1.5°C pathway, making this a concrete example of a service firm embedding climate action into daily operations.
