A new industry paper outlines practical methods for maintaining quality in large and complex Passivhaus low energy construction projects. Developed by Tier 1 contractors and the Passivhaus Trust, the report focuses on shifting workplace culture and site processes to ensure high performance buildings are delivered correctly the first time. The findings build on previous technical testing, including the Tardis test bay, to move beyond design theory into real world application. It provides a resource of best practices for contractors to overcome common challenges in airtightness and thermal bridging during the construction and handover phases.
