Pandora is introducing carbon footprint labelling for its lab grown diamonds, treating climate impact as a fifth metric alongside cut, color, clarity, and carat. The company claims these diamonds have a carbon footprint roughly 90% lower than mined diamonds. To achieve this, Pandora uses 100% renewable energy for diamond production and has transitioned to recycled gold and silver. The emissions data is based on external life cycle assessments verified by EY, covering everything from raw material production to final polishing.
