Pallet-Track, a UK pallet network based in Wolverhampton, has published its first ESG strategy with a plan to cut carbon emissions by 2028. The company targets a 35% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions and a 20% reduction in Scope 3 transport emissions, using its 2024 baseline of 8,631 tCO2e. The strategy includes fleet investments, alternative fuels, and a 99% diversion of operational waste from landfill through recycling. The company became Carbon Certified in 2024 and emphasizes direct emission cuts over offsetting. CEO Stuart Godman called the strategy a significant milestone that creates immediate accountability. The approach focuses on physical emission reductions rather than relying on carbon credits to balance the books.
