Pall Corporation is piloting a new flue-gas filtration system using additive manufacturing to improve the reliability of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS). The project, funded by Emissions Reduction Alberta, aims to solve pre-treatment bottlenecks that often lead to equipment fouling and higher operational costs in industrial settings. The pilot program will be tested at a cement plant in Alberta, Canada. By using 3D-printed metal filter media and jet pulse technology, the system intends to maintain lower pressure drops and better particle removal, making carbon capture more scalable for heavy industries.
