Pakistan corporate leaders explore carbon finance for green investment and business growth

The program was organized by NUST's Iqbal Executive Development Centre, Nutshell Communications, and the Climate Vulnerable Forum. Speakers highlighted that climate change is now a strategic business issue affecting investment decisions, export competitiveness, and corporate governance. Participants reviewed Pakistan's evolving climate policy framework including the Pakistan Carbon Market Policy, Pakistan Green Taxonomy, and SECP's Sustainability Reporting Framework. SECP Executive Director Mussarat Jabeen emphasized climate-related disclosures and board-level leadership. The program covered practical approaches to identifying carbon projects, generating carbon credits, and mobilizing green investment for long-term corporate strategy.
