The University of Gujrat recently hosted a three day workshop on climate smart development in collaboration with Tsinghua University. The program focused on carbon neutrality strategies and the growing global market for carbon credits to help Pakistan develop better carbon management practices. Faculty and researchers explored ways to establish a national carbon budget and participate in international carbon estimation initiatives. This academic partnership aims to build local expertise in carbon accounting and sustainable development.
