Pacifico Mexinol is developing a massive low-carbon methanol export hub in Sinaloa, Mexico. The project combines blue methanol produced via carbon capture and green methanol created from renewable hydrogen to serve the global shipping and chemical markets. With backing from the IFC and several export credit agencies, the project aims for production by 2030. It has already secured a 10-year offtake agreement with Mitsubishi Gas Chemical and is finalizing another long-term deal with a major shipping firm.
