Pacific islands are finally grouping up to move away from diesel. The Juren Ae is a good proof of concept, but scaling that to a whole regional fleet is the real challenge.

The key here is the National Action Plans for the IMO. Without those regulatory frameworks, that $300 million from the Green Climate Fund will be hard to deploy effectively.

Interesting to see a coordinated regional approach. Usually these are fragmented country by country projects. A unified partnership might actually attract the large scale finance they need.
