Overbury installs carbon-storing Breathaboard wallboard at Legal & General London HQ
theconstructionindex.co.ukOverbury has installed Adaptavate's Breathaboard, a bio-based wallboard that stores biogenic carbon and can be composted at end of life, at Legal & General's new London headquarters at 10 Coleman Street. The building retains around 95% of its existing structure and uses low-carbon technologies including air source heat pumps. L&G aims to achieve operational net zero across its occupied offices by 2030. More than 100 projects have registered interest in Breathaboard, with demand exceeding 19 million pounds through letters of intent and offtake agreements. The pilot at L&G HQ will help gather real-world performance data to support broader commercial adoption in fit-out projects.
