Orion SA has begun producing circular carbon black at its Qingdao, China facility, using tire pyrolysis oil as feedstock. The plant now makes three ISSC+ certified grades: Ecorax Circular 200, 210, and 215. This follows a similar expansion in Jaslo, Poland last year. The company says the circular grades let tire manufacturers increase sustainable material use without sacrificing performance. Orion uses dedicated storage tanks and controlled blending to maintain quality. It also plans to strengthen its TPO supply network in Europe by investing in production and acting as off taker at multiple sites.
