The Orient Express Corinthian has launched in Saint-Nazaire, France, as the world's largest sailing yacht. The 220-metre vessel uses a SolidSail system with three rigid sails that can provide full propulsion in ideal conditions, reaching speeds of 12 knots during sea trials. To further reduce its environmental footprint, the ship utilizes hybrid LNG propulsion. This combination of wind and low-carbon fuel is estimated to avoid 9,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually, setting a new efficiency benchmark for luxury maritime travel.
