Green Project Technologies, an ACT Group company, has acquired Optera to build an integrated AI climate management platform. The combined entity unites Optera's enterprise carbon accounting with Green Project's supply chain engagement tools and renewable energy procurement infrastructure. The platform aims to help companies move beyond measurement to actual decarbonization action. The platform covers over 6,000 active suppliers across 100 countries and includes a decarbonization marketplace for renewable energy certificates, insets, sustainable aviation fuel, and biomethane. Customers get dedicated sustainability managers and access to global R&D experts on environmental markets and regulatory developments. This acquisition reflects a growing trend in the climate tech space where companies are consolidating to offer end-to-end solutions. The focus on AI-driven emissions hotspot identification and supplier engagement could help enterprises tackle scope 3 emissions more effectively.
