58 out of 61 responses against it. That is not a close call. The council will have to decide if the carbon benefits outweigh the greenbelt damage. Wind turbines in the UK always stir local pushback, but the housing numbers here are massive.

Two wind turbines and some solar on 815 acres. That is not a lot of generation for 3,600 homes. I would want to see the energy balance model. Net zero village sounds ambitious but the ratio of renewables to homes feels thin.

Energy efficient homes are good but the real carbon savings come from how they are heated and built. If they rely on gas boilers with offsets, that is not net zero. Hope the plans specify heat pumps and fabric efficiency.
